NEW SINGLE: "BENEATH THIS FACE" is out and supporting Alzheimers Research and Stroke Resea
Today marks the first day of the Jay Pennell's and Ryan Murphy's fight against Alzheimers and Stroke. Starting in the home studio of la casa del Pennel, the two freinds recorded the first track of an upcoming album, to be named later, by the new alternative, hardcore band, The Light of Memory. "He is a music genious" said Ryan, the singer and rhythm guitar player of LOM, about his friend Jay. Pennell, the lead guitarist of LOM, recorded the guitar portion and mixed the rest of the track in his home studio.
Upon completion of the band's new single, the two discussed the possibility of using their talents to make a difference in their community. What better way than donating 2/3 of the proceeds from their single to help individuals living with Alzheimers and stroke. "It's more about what we can do to help" said Murphy. "I've seen people I care about and their families deal with the effects of both of these illnesses. If this project can help relieve other people of having to deal with the effects of these illnesses, I'm completely on board."
